Torino World Design Capital 2008. Turin, Italy, is where you want to go in 2008 if you love design. This year is rich of events, shows, occasions, and prizes. The most prestigious award is the Compasso d'Oro, well known and desired all over the world. At the end of June its jury announced the 16 recipients - there are a series of categories - of its XXI edition. Held for the first time in Turin (the prize was born and raised in Milan after architect Giņ Ponti's idea since 1954), the international jury chose, among others, Italo Lupi, Ico Migliore e Mara Servetto for the "Look of the City: Olimpiadi invernali 2006", a beautiful urban communication system that has been gracing Turin for 2 years.
